Grace completed her MSc in cardiovascular rehabilitation in 2013, where her research project investigated the use of underwater echocardiography to assess the acute effects of water immersion in heart failure patients. Following this, Grace spent 6 weeks at Wake Forest University, North Carolina working within the Health and Exercise Science department. She then worked as a data manager in cancer clinical trials at University College London Hospital, and a CRN South London trainee research practitioner before moving to Cornwall to start her PhD.

Research

Research interests

Grace’s PhD title is ‘Cardiac Rehabilitation and Physical Activity Levels in Heart Failure’ and is supervised by Professor Rod Taylor, Dr Melvyn Hillsdon and Dr Hayes Dalal. It is jointly funded by the NIHR and UEMS.
